What goes on at Meetings?

Different meetings have different activities, such as:
Check-In Participants talk about recent activities that affect their lives. Here is an opportunity to disclose one's secrets with fellow addicts who relate to our problems.
Step Study Reading and discussion, typically of a single step or tradition from the Green Book - Sex Addicts Anonymous. (See the SAA Store to purchase.)
Topic Meeting Topics from a book, typically Hope and Recovery, the Green Book, the Gentle Path book, one of the daily meditation books or the AA Big Book are discussed. (Also known as "Book Meetings"; See the SAA Store to purchase.)
Book Study Topics from a specific book, typically covered in depth over a period of time (several meetings)
Speaker The meeting is dedicated to a designated or visiting speaker and a specific topic
Level 2 & Level 3 These meetings are for people who have committed serious sexual offenses, often having been imprisoned for their behavior.
Boundary Groups  A meeting that requires special closure for confidentiality and safety needs within the group. Usually requires special permission to attend. (Example: Women/Gay Men meetings)
Some groups will follow a mixed series of meeting formats, Step/Tradition/Topic for example. Most will include time for members to Check-In and disclose the recent or most important issues they face.
